To the maximum extent permitted by law, Helix Collective shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, arising from the purchase or use (or misuse) of any product. Helix Collective's total liability arising from any order shall not exceed the amount paid by the Buyer for the relevant product. Nothing in this clause limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for gross negligence, fraud, or death or personal injury caused by Helix Collective's negligence.
Except as expressly stated, all products are sold "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
The Buyer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Helix Collective, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from the Buyer's misuse of any product or breach of these Terms.
By purchasing from this website, the Buyer confirms that they are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
The Buyer is solely responsible for ensuring that the purchase, import, possession, and use of these products complies with all applicable local, national, and international laws.
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Bacteriostatic water is sterile water with 0.9% benzyl alcohol added as a preservative. Unlike plain sterile water, it doesn't need to be used in a single sitting — the benzyl alcohol inhibits bacterial reproduction, which is exactly what's needed when a vial is punctured multiple times over a multi-week dosing protocol.
This isn't a peptide-specific invention — it's the same principle behind preservative effectiveness testing that pharmaceutical manufacturers run on any multi-dose parenteral (injectable) product, governed by USP Chapter <51>, which requires demonstrated antimicrobial activity against a standard panel of challenge organisms over a 28-day period. That 28-day figure is where the common "use within a month of reconstitution" guidance for peptides comes from.
Benzyl alcohol doesn't sterilise the vial outright — it stops microorganisms introduced via the septum from multiplying to problematic levels between draws. It's compatible with the vast majority of research peptides at the concentrations used in laboratory protocols, which is why it's the standard solvent for reconstitution rather than plain sterile or distilled water.
